A downloadable exhibition
Dive into the captivating world of numismatics with this VR experience!
Even before written history, humanity decided to switch from trading goods to currencies instead. But money has always been more than that: Being the creators of their medium of exchange, cultures have been able to spread their knowledge, beliefs, and stories around the world and across history.
This is where your numismatics journey, the study of currencies, starts.
Immerse yourself in history, challenge your skills with fun minigames and brain-teasing quizzes, and embark on a numismatic journey like never before!

The app was created by Luca Dreiling and Kevin Körner using ExPresS XR and Unity for the CIVIS Spring School 2023 at the University Tübingen.
Special thanks to the Numismatics Department, with special acknowledgment to Stefan Krmnicek for organizing the event.
Because of their joint efforts with the Anthropology and Digital Humanities Department, especially Eva Lanz and Vinzenz Rosenkranz, of the University of Tübingen, 3D scans of coins from the university's collection could be embedded in this exhibition.
